TERRY CASTELLI

Terry is a highly skilled and dedicated Physiotherapist with over 10 years of experience in private practice, working in reputable clinics in Townsville and Brisbane, before moving to the Sunshine Coast 3 years ago with his young family.

Terry focuses on the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of sports-related injuries and has had the opportunity of working with a diverse range of athletes. While working in Brisbane he was the Head Physiotherapist for the Moreton Bay United NPL Football team for 5 seasons. Since being on the Coast, he has been involved with Rip City Basketball, Maroochydore Swans Rugby League and Flinders Hockey Club. His background in both clinical practice and on-field sports physiotherapy has equipped him with a comprehensive understanding of the unique demands of various sports.

Terry is passionate about sports physiotherapy and rehabilitation and has a particular interest in knee and shoulder sporting injuries, post-surgical orthopaedic rehabilitation, and athletic development. He firmly believes that helping patients; no matter what their age, skill level or injury; to understand “what to do and why to do it”, is crucial in helping them make a full recovery.

During his time as a physiotherapist, Terry has completed the Level 1 and 2 APA sports physiotherapy courses, Level 1 spinal courses (cervical and lumbar), and the Australian Strength and Conditioning level 1 course. He has also travelled independently around Australia observing leading clinical physiotherapists and creating networks.

Before becoming a physiotherapist, Terry was an Acupuncturist for 7 years in Brisbane.

When not working, Terry enjoys staying active by playing hockey for Flinders Hockey Club, running and resistance training. He is also passionate about continuing education to further his knowledge; Terry will begin a Masters of Sports Physiotherapy in 2025. His other passion is all things BBQs!
